I went to Kansas City Hyundai after a very bad experience at Victory Hyundai. Ali, my salesperson, and Morgan at KC Hyundai found exactly the car I wanted at another dealer, had it on the ground for me within a couple of days, made the deal I needed and made the whole process simple and painless. They've been very friendly and helpful and gone out of their way to meet my needs. Great to work with!
II had the MOST disappointing Auto purchase experience ever!! The car was misrepresented!! It had undisclosed body damage, was NOT serviced and was dirty!! I drove out to this dealership from Va, 1060 miles each way! The car had to be trailered back the last 350 miles from Zanesville, Ohio to Virginia due to a front wheel bearing noise and failure!! The low coolant light also came on during the return trip!! This car was NOT serviced of checked out prior to being advertised for sale!!The salesman Darren was Totally unqualified and NOT helpful. The dealer has NOT returned my calls concerning this experience!!The dealer lied about mandatory financing or the price would be an additional $1000.00 if payment was by cash!!In my nearly 60 years of purchasing well over 30 cars, this by far has bee been the WORST car purchase EVER!!
I set an appointment to test drive & purchase a car. Got a confirmation of my appointment from them the next morning, and while I was driving there they texted that the car had sold earlier that morning. Not sure why they confirmed my appointment and then let me know an hour later that the car sold. I pulled over and called the sales rep I set the appointment with, and he did tell me that he let me know as soon as he could, because he didn't want me to drive there and 'waste my time,' since the car was sold. Appointments apparently mean nothing. Take the employee's advice and don't waste your time.

I understand that I purchased a used car at a lower price, but I still expected a minimum level of due diligence and integrity from the dealership. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The vehicle had several issues soon after the purchase. While the dealership did assist with fixing the exhaust — which was quite literally falling apart — that was the only real support I received. For other necessary repairs, they claimed to cover the labor, but then significantly upcharged the cost of parts — in some cases by nearly 200%. After checking with multiple shops in Lawrence, I found that I could have had the same repairs done elsewhere for less, even with labor included. Overall, I cannot recommend this dealership. The lack of transparency and inflated pricing, especially on a vehicle that clearly wasn’t properly inspected before being sold, points to a serious lack of integrity.
Marc, was my salesperson, they were warm and friendly, service was exceptional made sure I got the deal within my budget. Tna the finance manger was also very kind and a matter of fact, she was very friendly and easy to talk to. Overall I would like to thank the Hyundai team for getting the job done. They make you purchase addons for the car by saying- may be a false practices, like your APR will be increased if we dont take policy addons as this will provide banks more security and peace of mind. Its a nightmare to cancel the hyundai addon policies as they are the only one can cancel it. Alert - Reed might not honor hyundai 3 day worry free exchange policy. Additional notes - Reed made me to register the car then treated as a tradein (gave full price of the car, Thanks!) which we will end up paying all dealership and documentation fee twice.
I purchased a new vehicle in 2020 right before lock down. I purchased the maintenance contract for 8 oil changes. I knew at that time that I would not use 8 oil changes prior to the contract expiration. At the time the finance manager assured me that the contract would not expire due to time. I had the finance manager note that on the contract. After my last oil change I was informed that my contract would not be honored. So I ended up paying $500 for one oil change. I am also going to attach this review Zurich Insurance (issued the contract) and Ally finance.

Joke or what? Shows 1 and 2 star rating for each category but says 4.2 out of 5?????? Even the rating site is a joke. My experience is limited. Was looking for car on the main Hyundai site. One car is listed at 23K however when you go to the dealer ship the price junks to 32k. Plus the APR on top of it. Can tell right there to stay away from this place. Had this been the only vehicles I would of thought typo but its not from Reed has done this on a few of them. Also if you hit the get a price quote, instead what you get are video replies and regular email trying to suck you in. You don't get a quote at all.
Worst service department. Took my car in on Monday for a light on the dashboard and they ended up keeping the car over two weeks. They never call you to communicate the issue or update you to the status of the vehicle or parts. The prior owners to Reed handled the service department much better. Reed has made me hate Hyundai. I want ownership to be aware of what is going on at the dealership service department.
I had my car towed to the dealership thinking it would be fixed rather quickly, boy was I wrong. Didn't offer a timeframe on when it would get repaired and didn't offer me another car to use while I was waiting for my car to get fixed. Apparently they don't have any mechanics there that know how to repair cars other than oil changes, brakes, etc. Didn't receive my car back for 10 days. The repair only lasted for 24 days and my car wouldn't start again, so I had the car towed there again thinking that they would honor the previous receipt of repairs that were done, and then told me that it was a separate issue and would charge me again for repairs. They had to order the part they needed to replace, no timeframe again on when it would be fixed, no callback from service writer/adviser and was terrible and seem to not care how long I waited to get my car. I finally got my car back repaired and took them 3 weeks! THE WORST DEALERSHIP SERVICE THAT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! If you have a hyundai vehicle that needs repairs, DO NOT TAKE IT TO REED HYUNDAI in Merriam, KS. & Don't be fooled by those 5 star ratings, those all appear to be faked.
